The Air Jordan Shoes XVIII is designed by Tate Kuerbis, Jordan Senior Footwear Designer. It is the first time that he will be heading the Air Jordan design team. As with the previous AJ’s, inspiration was also the main ingredient to come up with something different. His inspiration came from the F1 race cars specifically the Lamborghini Murcielago. It comes with suede leather uppers, a hidden quick lace system, Air Vents, Carbon Comfort Plate and a full length Zoom Air soles. With the metal case that came out with the Air Jordan Shoes XVII . Kuerbis decided on a sleek custom box that you can slide in/out like a table drawer. With each box, a suede brush and a towel is included for cleaning the shoes. And instead of a CD, there is a Jordan Drivers Manual inside. A modified Air Jordan Shoes XVIII also came out after a while known as the AJ 18.5. The design is similar with Air Jordan Shoes XVIII except that the lace cover was removed and it features a plastic pants leg-stopper and a more prominent Jumpman logo.
